Welcome to FootStats - the Premier Football Statistics and Analysis site

The Essential Data Source for understanding and analysis of the UK Football Scene. Review the League Tables, Discuss the Form Guide, Look at The Game, Find your Team, Judge those Referees and Forecast those matches.

Now incorporating all the major European leagues including the Italian Serie A, French Le Championnat, Spanish La Liga and German Bundisliga.

Footstats provides comprehensive analysis of statistics and data from the English Football Leagues (including Premiership and Championship) with results and tables since 2000.

You may have noticed that we have changed the look and feel of the site. We do hope you like it!! If you do or if you don't please get in touch with us through the contact page to air your views. We look forward to hearing from you!

What Footstats is all about

The site is partioned into six analysis areas of particular interest. League Tables covers positions of teams based on different criteria, our normal League tables based upon points and goal difference but also events during a match such as shots, goals, corners, fouls and cards (both the yellow and red variety). The Form Guide looks at current form over a number of games, whilst The Game gives statistics on individual games. Teams gives a thorough analysis of your favourite team, whilst Referees takes a look at the cards dished out by our man in black.

You will find our stats and data analysis tools perfect for identifying good value football tips among the various football betting markets where the best odds on offer can often disagree with the cold, hard stats.

Footstats contains all Premiership, Championship and League One and Two data back to Season 2000/2001 courtesy of football-data.co.uk. The site is updated on a weekly basis during the season.

This site now also contains comprehensive analysis of statistics and data from the European Leagues (including Scottish, Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga and German Bundisliga) with results and tables since 2001.

What's new with Footstats ?

We've included a  prediction model on the site, which hopefully gives you the edge when you are having a punt. Also incorporated is a simulation of the final league standings of the top current Leagues.

Don't know the way to the Ground ? For Google directions to any ground in the four leagues make use of our Getting There section.

From time to time particular items of analysis will be posted in the news section.

Football fun is provided by our quick look at some of the howlers over the years, whilst up to date news courtesy of BBC, keeps everyone on their toes.

We would love to hear from you regarding the site. Feel free to contact us with your thoughts, ideas or analyses that you would find useful.

What else?

For charts and statistics, our sister site, Footcharts provides detailed analysis of all data on the English and now European Football Leagues.

We hope you find the site, interesting, stimulating and useful. Above all, enjoy the site and enjoy your football !
